We’re looking for a C# Software Engineer to join our growing team, working on our cutting-edge situational awareness applications for emergency services. This is a technically challenging and rewarding C# Developer position, which comes with remote working and flexible hours.

You will be working to help us improve the overall experience of our products, as well as adding new features and functionality. We’re looking for a C# Developer with a passion for building high-quality software, strong engineering principles, and a desire to work in an Agile environment. 

Our current tech stack includes C#, ASP.Net, .Net Core, containerisation with Docker, AWS, Microservices, JavaScript, React, and Xamarin for Mobile Development. We work to SOLID principles where possible and operate in an Agile methodology.

What do you need?

We don’t expect you to have experience with our whole tech stack, as there is always an opportunity to learn! For this C# Developer position, we’re looking for:

  • Experience coding with C#, ASP.Net, Restful API
  • Experience building web applications in a microservices environment
  • SQL Server
  • Communicate comfortably with internal stakeholders and immediate team.

The following would also be beneficial!

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Architect, who has in-depth knowledge of the SDLC and OO design. Ideally, we’re looking for experience with:

  • IT solution development with an in-depth knowledge of a range of systems and packages
  • Writing technical designs within the Microsoft stack
  • Implementation of cloud-based systems (AWS)
  • Designing RESTful APIs and distributed systems (microservices, event-driven architecture)

What will you be doing?

As the Xamarin Mobile Developer, you will be maintaining and developing additional features to our mapping and situational awareness product. You will be working with iOS (C#/XCode Interface Builder), Android (C# / Xamarin) and Windows (C#/WinForms/ASP.NET). We maintain a common codebase in C# and use Xamarin to target iOS & Android platforms. Windows client and server side are developed with Visual Studio.

What do you need?

For this Xamarin Mobile Developer role, we’re looking for:

  • Experience building mobile applications across iOS and Android using Xamarin
  • Experience coding with C# 
  • Agile experience and knowledge of best practices
  • Knowledge of OO programming
  • Strong communication with internal stakeholders

It would also be beneficial if you had experience with Microservices, AWS, Unit testing, and building GIS systems.
