We’re looking for a Technical Architect to join our Engineering team and take ownership for defining and maintaining our architectural roadmap. This is a brand-new role which offers the chance to make a real impact in a growing organisation!

What will you be doing?

As the Technical Architect you will be providing concrete, actionable technical design as we continue our journey towards a containerised microservices platform. Working closely with the product team to ensure that their feature design is accompanied with a coherent technical design. You will be reporting to the CTO and you will be responsible for:

 

  • Defining and maintaining our architectural roadmap
  • Developing an open and extensible architecture that promotes 3rd party integrations
  • Assuring that our software is implemented in accordance with your designs.
  • Mentoring others within Airbox to encourage architectural thinking

 

What do you need?

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Architect who is confident taking ownership of our architecture from day one. We’re therefore looking for an already established Technical Architect, or a Senior Developer who has done considerable architecture projects.

What will you be doing?
As the Development Manager, you will be overseeing and directing the growth of the Development, DevOps, and QA functions within the business, initially with c.5 direct reports and c.20 indirect reports. Working closely with Product, Architecture, and Professional Services, the Development Manager will play an essential part in Airbox’s growing success.

This is a people-focused role, where the Development Manager will be responsible for the happiness, training, and resourcing of the technical function. You will be a motivating, influential leader, tasked with inspiring the teams to meet deadlines and delivery quality products. Whilst you won’t be writing code, a technical background is needed to ensure you can implement best practices, Agile processes, and make technical decisions when needed. Scalability, usability and reliability should all sit in your sweet spot of knowledge.

As the DevOps Manager you will be managing a small but growing team of c.4 DevOps Engineers, including managing outsourced capacity for your team. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the live services functionality, including deployment of new product versions, internal automation (CI/CD), and cost management.

You will be leading the team from a people perspective, managing the day-to-day projects or your team, identifying training needs, as well as being involved in recruitment and reviews/appraisal. You’ll also be leading from a technical perspective, being the escalation point in the team, enforcing best practises, informing prioritisation and strategy

What do you need?

For this DevOps Manager role we’re looking for experience with:

  • Previous experience leading a DevOps team, or transferable skills 
  • Strong DevOps experience with technologies such as:
    • Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)
    • CI/CD (Jenkins) 
    • Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) 
    • Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform or similar
    • AWS

What will you be doing?

As the QA Manager you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the testing of software produced by the development team, ensuring quality standards are met for any changes deployed. This is a hands-on role, where we foresee your time split 50/50 between management and QA duties. 

 

The QA Manager will be joining a team of 4 QA Engineers, who you will mentor and lead on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for team 1-2-1s, appraisals, training plans, and helping with recruitment. You will take ownership of the overall QA process, creating test plans and strategy and advocating for best practises across the team. 

What do you need?

For this QA Manager role we’re looking for experience with:

  • Previous experience leading a team, either as a Team Lead or already established QA Manager  
  • Hands on QA experience

  • Building test plans 
  • Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills

What will you be doing?

As the QA Engineer, you will be joining a supportive team of talented QA Engineers, working to ensure the quality of our suite of software applications.  You will be working closely with our Software Engineers to test their code, documenting issues into a database, and assigning appropriately to the development team, seeing through to resolution. 

The QA Engineer will contribute to both writing and executing test plans, including both new and regression tests. You’ll produce high-quality bug reports, covering description, accurate reproduction steps, and severity. We work in a mixed environment across manual and automated testing, so you will get the chance to work across both.

 

What do you need?

For this QA Engineer position, we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience testing software as a QA Engineer
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing
  • SCRUM/Agile
  • API testing experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail

As the Product Owner, you will be working with the Agile development team to deliver a suite of integrations to bring leading complimentary software into our Airbox environment.

The Product Owner will take on responsibility for gathering requirements, writing user stories, running and setting up sprints, clearing the product backlog, producing documentation, and performing acceptance testing. As your role will specifically be focused on API development, we’re looking for a Product Owner with a good technical understanding and API knowledge to specialise in this area.

What do you need?

For this Product Owner role, we’re looking for:

  • Established experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager within an Agile environment
  • Good knowledge of API standards

As the Customer Support, you will be responsible for answering calls and emails from clients and supporting the triage of issues to the relevant departments, providing excellent customer service. You will be trained on our product to be able to provide 1st line support and small fixes to our clients when necessary.

Long-term, there is opportunity to progress within this team, or into other areas of the business including Account Management or Software Development.   

 

What do you need?

For this Customer Support position, we’re looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience within customer service (can be informal or part-time experience)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Organised and able to manage your time
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications

 

To set yourself apart, it would be great if you also had:

Please note that this is a new team and whilst you will initially be working standard office hours, long term you may be brought into shift work to cover a 24/7 rota.
